Tornado Warning: Travel Safety Tips

big tornadoWe have see some of the worst Tornado activity in over 40 years. This warrants that we discuss what to do if you are traveling in an area of the United States that is prone to Tornadoes. Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, east Colorado and Iowa are considered “Tornado Alley” so you must always be vigilant in those areas. In the southern states March through May is the most active time so make sure you are always watching the news if you are in those areas so you can stay safe. Look for signs in the air like the wind dying down. If a twister is headed your way get to the lowest floor of an interior room of a building so that you can stay safe. These are just a few tips so that you and your family can stay safe in a twister prone zone.
