Bath time with baby was always one of our favorite times of the day. It is amazing how calming a bath can be to all of us.

At first when the child is a newborn make sure to always turn the air conditioning off at least half an hour before bath time so that it is not cold in the house. Next, we bought a baby tub that had a little sling inside that would hold baby comfortably till she could sit on her own. Next, we got all of our supplies out such as towels, washcloths, lotion, baby wash ready to go. Next we warmed up some water, always be sure to check the temperature before you put the baby in. Every baby is different so you know your baby’s temperament best. My baby always loved a bath about mid-afternoon.Insert baby in the baby tub and enjoy all the sounds and the sheer joy of your little miracle staring up into your eyes!

One baby starts getting bigger and learning how to sit up we always moves the baby tub into the big tub. Once baby is bigger you will see that there is quite a bit of water that starts messing up the bathroom. Babies love to splash so be prepared to get wet! Always put several towels down on the floor so it is not slippery.

To always know the temperature of the water we bought one of those little floating ducks that was also a thermometer. We also bought a spout cover to go over where the water flows from. This even protect me a few time from banging into it. Also, make sure to purchase a rubber mat or those little bath stickies that go on the floor of the tub to prevent slipping.

Always make sure that there is nothing electrical close to where the baby is bathing to avoid electrocution.

Have plenty of bath toys on hand and enjoy this time together!
