Today is the official kick off for Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry. Share Our Strength’s Dine Out for No Kid Hungry™ is a national fundraising event that brings together thousands of restaurants and millions of consumers to help make sure no child in America grows up hungry. From September 18-24, 2011, participating restaurants raise funds in a variety of engaging ways to support Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry,® a national campaign to end childhood hunger in America by 2015. Share Our Strength’s Dine Out for No Kid Hungry is nationally sponsored by Sysco, American Express, Ecolab, USA Today and the National Restaurant Association. When you dine with us between September 18 and 24, you’ll be helping end childhood hunger in America. Did you know that more than 17 million children in America – almost one in four – struggle with hunger? When we learned this startling fact, we knew we had to take action, and we signed up for Share Our Strength’s Dine Out For No Kid Hungry™.
Thousands of restaurants across the country this September, they will be donating the funds that they raise through this effort to Share Our Strength, a national nonprofit committed to ending childhood hunger in America by 2015. Who would not enjoy their meal even more, knowing that it’s helping support such an important cause.
