Superfoods for Weight Loss

If you caught our post for fighting belly fat “Five Tips for Losing Belly Fat“, you will want to make sure and add these 3 Superfoods mentioned on Dr Oz’s show earlier this week. Lose inches on your waist line and help prevent bloating.

  1. plate of pastaHave 1/4 cup of golden berrieseach day.  This fruit from Brazil is loaded with vitamin B12 which helps keep your metabolism churning. You can find them at Whole foods or order online.
  2. Miso soup– suggested 1 cup per day of a low sodium version to help keep cholesterol levels down, specifically triglycerides that contribute to belly fat. I personally don’t like the taste of Miso soup so this one is going to be a bit of a challenge.
  3. Sauerkraut – contains healthy bacteria that promotes digestion and again reduces bloating and gut inflammation.  Suggested servings is 3 teaspoons daily, of a low sodium kraut or rinse regular sauerkraut.  However you are not to have it on a hot dog.  On the show they put some on a turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread. We’ll be exploring some healthy recipes to incorporate sauerkraut.  We’d love to hear your ideas.
