Palm Beach Gardens, FL Green Market

Season 9 of the Gardens GreenMarket

Every year we have a Green Markets that opens near us from October to early May. The first few years we did not go but one early Sunday morning the kids and I ventured out. What a fun trip we had and honestly this year we have gone more than ever! The GreenMarket is full of local vendors that sell everything from home grown vegetables to dresses, artwork, jewellery, and many different crafts. There is also a big selection of food. Everything from homemade breads, cupcakes, clam chowder, spicy pickles and fresh fish. Today is the last and final Palm Beach Gardens Green Market of the season. There were so many things we enjoyed like the fresh fruits and vegetables. We will also miss our Sunday smoothies, apple cider doughnuts, ham and cheese croissants and smoked fish dip.

Spend a relaxing Sunday morning at the GreenMarket with live entertainment, produce, plants, flowers, handmade crafts and prepared food & smoothies. Takes place rain or shine Sundays Oct 10, 2010 – May 1, 2011.

As posted on the Gardens website: The GreenMarket is a Farmer’s Market, Art, Entertainment & Food public event. This is accomplished by providing fresh, locally-grown produce to the community and encouraging the promotion of the agricultural industry. It also provides an informal, social gathering place in an open-air setting which promotes a sense of community and stimulates interaction among neighbors in the area. The Market is intended to be a combination of a “green” shopping opportunity and a cultural event.
