Celebrating Father’s Day With TOMS

What do you get the dad who has everything? Your husband and your father probably have enough ties to last quite a while, and they most likely don’t need or want any more golf shirts or screwdriver sets. Dads don’t often splurge on quality shoes for themselves; my own husband has a pair of dress shoes, a no-frills pair of sneakers and sandals for the beach, but his paltry shoe collection doesn’t include anything fun. It’s high time that he has something comfortable and easy to throw on his feet, which is one of the reasons that I’m going to buy him a pair of TOMS shoes this Father’s Day.

When you buy a pair of TOMS shoes, the company donates a pair to a child in need somewhere in the world, making your purchase a gift times two! While your dad or husband is enjoying his shoes, somewhere else, a father can rest easy knowing that his child has a pair of new shoes that will enable her to go to school and play outside safely.

So, what to buy? I’m thinking that the Black Alden Cordones will fit right into my hubby’s wardrobe, but maybe he needs something a bit more colorful, like the Tyler Ramsey Hand Painted Ash Men’s Classics. For those afternoons spent on the boat, he might appreciate the Classics in the Gabriel Lacktman Nautical pattern. The Tan Canvas Men’s Stitchouts are another easygoing choice for relaxed weekends at home or in the yard.

If you hesitate to pick out shoes for your man, TOMS also offers sunglasses, t-shirts, hoodies and more. Buy him a military-style hat to shade him from the sun, or, if he likes to write while on vacation, the travel journal.

From now until the end of the month, we have a $5 off TOMS coupon code that you can use toward your order. Even when you use TOMS coupons, the company still makes the donation of shoes (or, if you buy sunglasses, eyewear) to those in need, so don’t let that stop you from saving a few dollars when shopping for your dad this Father’s Day.

Happy Father’s Day from Shopaholic Mommy, and from TOMS Shoes!
