We all know the old saying “an apple a day keeps the doctor away” but did you know that new research shows that an apple a day can help lower your bad cholesterol levels and help keep unwanted wight off for women? They recently did some research at the department of nutrition at the Florida State University and women who ate 75 grams of dried apples every day for 6 months lowered their bad cholesterol levels by as much as 23 percent.
