How to Get Rid of Bad Smells in the kitchen

Unwanted odor coming from your garbage disposal? Take a few cubes of ice and a used piece of lemon with the peel and that should do the trick.  The oils from the fruit clean the walls inside the disposal, while the ice cleans the blades. For stubborn odors add a few tablespoons of baking soda with the ice and lemon.

We have another neat trick! A few months ago someone left crab legs in our refrigerator and the smell was stuck in there. We tried everything, taking it apart, using heavy cleaners, a fresh box of baking soda, and nothing worked. This past weekend, some friends came to stay with us and they had the solution! They had a vomit smell that was trapped in their car and after careful research they discovered how to get rid of it. Get about a cup of grounded up coffee beans, place them in a bowl and leave the bowl inside the refrigerator. Within about an hour the smell was gone!

If for some reason the coffee grounds don’t work I also read that activated charcoal and kitty litter are another alternative.

Good Luck!

Great idea. I’ve never heard of this. I’m going to try it after I deep fry in the kitchen.
