Do you say um and uh what you are stuck in a sentence? I’ll admit it – it makes me crazy when some people (including my husband) use filler words when they are actively thinking and speaking at the same time. He sometimes can’t go one whole sentence without an um or a uh? And the kids just say “mom” and then stand there saying uh, uh, uh. A new report shows that filler words can actually help a young child develop their speech. Go Figure! What they call “hesitant speech” benefits a child by allowing them to learn vocabulary according to Live Science. The finding are very interesting and I highly suggest the article !
